Crash Course is changing

We're reshaping our morning newsletter to better suit you

Crash Course subscribers,

At Salon, we’re more than aware that the news under Trump 2.0 can feel like a constant deluge of doom and gloom. With that in mind, we’re reimagining our daily Crash Course newsletter to be a digest of all the news that you need to know (and none of the noise that you don’t).

Crash Course will still feature the excellent commentary, unexpected stories of real people, and deeper dives into the news of the day from Salon’s staff. However, the newsletter’s new look will also have  bite-sized takes on the biggest headlines and quick-reads on developing situations.

Rather than offering an endless feed trough of who, what, when, where and why, we’d like the new Crash Course to serve as an amuse-bouche to ground readers before offering up Salon’s incisive opinions and analysis: Who is being affected? Where have we seen this before? Why does it matter? How can I help?

As we make this change, please note that the new Crash Course is interactive. If you like what we’re doing or would like to let us know what you want to see in future editions, our newsletters now have a comment section. We appreciate any feedback  as we work on reshaping Crash Course to better suit your needs!

Thanks for reading,

Alex Galbraith
